 Nature graces the table. We were delighted when Neita's Nest was the choice for a Kingston shopping 'vacation' and restaurant hop for The Blue House team, Elise, Gloria and Darryl. It was great sharing notes with this top B&B team from Ocho Rios, visiting mutual friends...thanks Bella Eden..., and just offering the hospitality for which they are so known, and which they deserve.  The mountains surrounding Jamaica's capital city, Kingston are a lush green; greener than usual for our summer and made greener by the light summer rains. And when I sit on the verandahs of Neita's Nest and look out at the various shades of green which our mountain view offers it is the most calming place in the world for me.
Whether it is a misty morning, a brightly lit noon, a rainy afternoon or a moon lit night, it is a sight to behold. It reminds me of Frederico Garcia Lorca's Romance Sonambulo which begins "Verde que te quiero verde..." or as the English translation goes, "Green, how I want you green, Green wind, Green branches..." Our guests in May maximized on their business trip to Jamaica with sheer island pleasures. With mission accomplished at the ultra-fab wedding at Chris Blackwell's world famous Strawberry Hill Hotel in Irish Town, these videographers maxed out on Kingston's night life. Of course we at Neita's Nest had just as much fun getting them up and out on time for their Knutsford Express bus ride for the north coast leg of their vacation, breakfast in hand. The self-named "LYME LADIES" chose Jamaica for their annual reunion in April and Neita's Nest Bed+Breakfast was their kick-off point before heading to Ocho Rios. These ten feline friends from Brazil, Venezuela, Trinidad+Tobago, Barbados and the US were ready from the get-go for a whale of a time. We teamed up with our neighbour Cindy for additional accommodation and it was "mi casa..tu casa"!
