Our Food Writer is back and Neita's Nest was home again for her. It was our pleasure to introduce her as our first repeat visitor having vacationed earlier this year with us. She added to our multi-cultural vibes recently and there was so much to share. Welcome home, Rachel.

Neita's Nest Jamaican Bed & Breakfast was a multi-cultural haven recently. Suzanne arrived from Paris on a business trip and her film crew recommended she stay with us. Insightful conversations over delectable meals enriched our sunrise breakfasts every morning that week. C'est bon!
Neita's Nest is doing even more special things for you when you stay at our unique Jamaican Bed and Breakfast. We are pleased to announce that we have teamed up with Jamaica Cultural Enterprises for specially arranged tours while you stay with us. Please visit their website for a peek preview. Click here We've weathered a few here. Ivan the Horrible sounded like the Hulk, crushing, chomping & chewing. Luckily it was all sound. Then there was Dean. He took the covering from our tree house but left all else in tact. Now we brace for Tomas. Stay dry…be safe.
![]() Nature graces the table. We were delighted when Neita's Nest was the choice for a Kingston shopping 'vacation' and restaurant hop for The Blue House team, Elise, Gloria and Darryl. It was great sharing notes with this top B&B team from Ocho Rios, visiting mutual friends...thanks Bella Eden..., and just offering the hospitality for which they are so known, and which they deserve. Check in to Neita's Nest on Face Book to check out more great photos of their visit.
Summer in Jamaica is not over in September. It just cools down. Off-season travellers looking for a value-added holiday or affordable business trip need look no more. Neita's Nest's great location in lower Stony Hill, St. Andrew is indeed a home-away-from-home experience. Just minutes from Kingston's city centre and with easy access to the north coast, Neita's Nest covers all bases. Check us out and check in. www.neitasnest.com
The mountains surrounding Jamaica's capital city, Kingston are a lush green; greener than usual for our summer and made greener by the light summer rains. And when I sit on the verandahs of Neita's Nest and look out at the various shades of green which our mountain view offers it is the most calming place in the world for me.
Whether it is a misty morning, a brightly lit noon, a rainy afternoon or a moon lit night, it is a sight to behold. It reminds me of Frederico Garcia Lorca's Romance Sonambulo which begins "Verde que te quiero verde..." or as the English translation goes, "Green, how I want you green, Green wind, Green branches..." New Kingston by Night
Our guests in May maximized on their business trip to Jamaica with sheer island pleasures. With mission accomplished at the ultra-fab wedding at Chris Blackwell's world famous Strawberry Hill Hotel in Irish Town, these videographers maxed out on Kingston's night life. Of course we at Neita's Nest had just as much fun getting them up and out on time for their Knutsford Express bus ride for the north coast leg of their vacation, breakfast in hand. The self-named "LYME LADIES" chose Jamaica for their annual reunion in April and Neita's Nest Bed+Breakfast was their kick-off point before heading to Ocho Rios. These ten feline friends from Brazil, Venezuela, Trinidad+Tobago, Barbados and the US were ready from the get-go for a whale of a time. We teamed up with our neighbour Cindy for additional accommodation and it was "mi casa..tu casa"!
The feedback at the end of it all was that "this vacation cannot be topped!" |

Visiting Neita's Nest was an absolute delight. The rooms were tastefully decorated and furnished. The bed was comfortable. We enjoyed the beautiful mountain scenery while eating breakfast and using authentic Jamaican products. Our host, Michelle, was amazing. She made us feel at home, and I felt sad when I had to go. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

We arrived at Neita’s Nest after cancelling our hostel accommodation. Michelle (the owner) responded to our request to stay immediately and even arranged for a taxi (with Lester - who is an excellent guide) to pick us up. Within 15 minutes we were on our way to Neita’s and it was the best decision we made! The place is absolutely beautiful, the rooms are light and airy with amazing views overlooking Kingston from the hills...Michelle provide[d] everything we could need and offered us tea before bed. Dressing gowns, towels, fresh water - it was so lovely...The breakfast was delicious - coffee, fresh juice, fresh fruit, bread and eggs… Thanks, Michelle for being an excellent host and making us feel so welcome 😊😊
